Prepare for BIRTH
Prepare for BIRTH is a physio-led 3 class series for pregnant people and their partners. It was created to fill the gaps in other prenatal courses, to improve health outcomes for birthers in the short and long term, and to improve birth experiences overall.
The class will be offered via Zoom over a series of three 1 hour long sessions. Through the classes you will learn:

How to prepare your body and mind for birth

A variety of relaxation and pain management strategies to make your birth experience as comfortable as possible

Specific labour and birth positions to assist the movement of your baby through your birth canal at different stages of labour

Strategies to progress labour and reduce your chances of requiring an epidural (if unwanted), forceps or vacuum assisted vaginal delivery, and cesarian delivery.

Strategies to prevent tearing and other common postpartum conditions such as incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse (POP), and pelvic pain

Specific strategies and positions to use if you have an epidural or if you are confined to a bed for medical reasons

Evidence based information to make better and more informed decisions during your labour and birth

A physio-led small group fitness class to give you the strength, mobility and tools to have a better and more comfortable pregnancy and to prepare your body for birth

A physio-led small group fitness class to reconnect to your core, pelvic floor and body and to prepare your body for higher level exercises and activities.
