Appointment information & faqs

Booking Appointments

You can make an appointment through the online booking service. To do so, click on the "Book an Appointment" button in the top right corner of your screen. Please note that my schedule can fill up 6+ weeks in advance. When you book your initial consultation, I recommend you also book 2-3 follow up appointments at 2-3 week intervals to ensure you receive the treatement you need in a timely manner. Your first in person follow-up appointment can be booked within a week of your initial consultation. Appointments can always be cancelled and it is much easier to cancel an appointment than to book one on short notice.

Please wear comfortable exercise clothing.

Cancelling Appointments

At Jenna Homer Physiotherapy, I try to be reasonable and understand that life happens. As best you can, please try to give 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice may be charged a cancellation fee.

Private or Extended Health Benefits

You do not need a doctor's referral to use your extended health coverage. Following your appointment, you will receive a invoice that you can submit to your health plan provider. Please check with your health plan provider for information regarding your physiotherapy coverage.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

You do not need a doctor's referral to see a physiotherapist.

Initial Consultations

25 minutes - $90 All initial consultations will be done virtually. Initial consultations typically include the following:

  • An in depth review of:
    • The reason(s) for your visit
    • Your goals with respect to your rehabilitation
    • Your medical history
    • Lifestyle factors that may be contributing to your symptoms/condition
  • Discussions about assessment and treatment options available to you
  • Education about the things you can start doing immediately to help with your symptoms
  • Information about any questionnaires and/or diaries that your physiotherapist would like you to complete prior to your next appointment
  • If time permits, an observational assessment of your posture, alignment, breathing and some functional movements

Subsequent Appointments

25 minutes - $90 50 minutes - $160 Subsequent appointments can be booked as virtual or in person appointments. 50 minute follow-up appointments are ideal for prenatal, postpartum and pelvic health appointments, especially those that involve internal pelvic assessments and/or treatments. 25 minute follow-up appointments are ideal for simpler appointments such as for clients needing exercise progressions, check ins or clients wanting to address 1 thing at a time only. Virtual assessments are ideal for patients wanting to avoid or who cannot attend in person appointments for whatever reason. Although there are many things that can only be assessed in person, virtual appointments can still be very useful. Virtual appointments are a great option for prenatal "prepare for birth" appointments.

Medical Services Plan (MSP)

Patients with MSP Premium Assistance are eligible for 10 subsidized treatments each year shared between physiotherapy, massage therapy, naturopathy, acupuncture, chiropractic and non-surgical podiatry. Patients will be responsible for the remainder of the appointment fee.


I do not accept ICBC nor WSBC claims. Appointment fees are the responsibility of the patient.

Bringing babies or young children to appointments

The clinic's current COVID-19 policies permit clients to bring newborns and young infants to appointments only. Toddlers and young children are not permitted in the clinic at this time. I sincerely appologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Rescheduling Appointments

Appointments can be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. To reschedule your appointment, click on "Book and appointment" and then log into your account to reschedule your appointment.

Missed Appointments

Patients who miss appointments without providing 24 hours notice may be charged the full fee for the missed appointment.

Virtual appointments

Virtual appointments are available for anyone who is unable to attend in person appointments. On the day of your virtual appointment, you will receive an email with a link to join your appointment. This will be sent to you 30 minutes prior to your appointment. You can also learn more about how to join your virtual appointment by clicking HERE. Before your Appointment, please test and make sure your device is ready to go with working sound and video by clicking HERE. Bringing partners to appointments

Each client can bring one partner or support person to prenatal "prepare for birth" appointments. Clients may also be accompanied by their partner or a support person for internal pelvic asseessments and treatment sessions. Partners or support persons accompanying clients must pass all COVID-19 screening protocols prior to entering the clinic.
